OUR MISSION
PawWatch Registry exists to create a lasting national record of people who have been convicted of animal cruelty and animal abuse, while giving the public a reliable way to follow documented cases as they move through the justice system.
Our mission is to make verified information about animal abuse easier to find, understand, and preserve. We believe people who commit acts of cruelty against animals should not simply disappear from public view once a case is over. PawWatch is building a long-term, searchable record of verified convictions so that those histories remain accessible to the public.
At the same time, accuracy matters. PawWatch maintains a clear distinction between allegations, investigations, arrests, charges, pending cases, and verified convictions. Case Watch allows the public to follow documented cases as they develop, while the PawWatch Registry remains reserved for verified conviction records.
Through nationwide research, public submissions, official records, court documents, credible reporting, and continued case tracking, PawWatch works to help individuals, families, rescues, shelters, animal-welfare organizations, businesses, journalists, and communities make better-informed decisions.
Our goal is simple: preserve the record, increase accountability, and help protect animals from repeat abuse.
Accuracy. Accountability. Transparency. Protection.
WHY PAWWATCH EXISTS
Animal-cruelty records are scattered across courts, government agencies, law-enforcement sources, news archives, and local jurisdictions. In many places, there is no single public resource where someone can easily determine whether a person has a documented animal-cruelty conviction.
PawWatch works to bring verified information together into one searchable national resource and preserve those records over time.
Case Watch also allows PawWatch to follow documented animal-abuse cases as they move through investigation, arrest, charges, court proceedings, and final disposition.
OUR COMMITMENT TO ACCURACY
PawWatch does not determine guilt. We document what reliable public sources establish and clearly identify the status of each record.
The PawWatch Registry is reserved for verified conviction records. Allegations, investigations, arrests, charges, and pending proceedings are maintained separately through Case Watch and are clearly identified as such.
Preserve the record. Increase accountability. Protect animals.
