A name is published only after conviction is verified.
The burden is on PawWatch to confirm the record before publication—not on the public to disprove an allegation.
Qualifying sources
We rely on courts, prosecutors, departments of justice, law-enforcement agencies, and government registries. News coverage may help locate a case but does not replace the official source.
What is excluded
Arrests, pending charges, accusations, social posts, anonymous submissions, sealed matters, minors, and ambiguous identity matches are excluded.
What is published
Profiles are limited to name, city and state, offense, disposition date, sentence, case number when available, and the official source. Private street addresses, contact details, family information, and dates of birth are not published.
Official photographs
A photograph appears only on the person’s detail page when PawWatch verifies the government source, attribution, verification date, and a documented legal basis for republication. Initials remain the fallback.
Ongoing review
Records and photograph rights are rechecked. Vacated, expunged, corrected, unsupported, or removal-eligible material is corrected or removed.
